(a) Download and Install the Arduino software version 1.8.12. Put your printer together, boot it up and make sure all is working. IMPORTANT-> make sure you remove any special / Chinese characters present in the folder names for that software or else it may not work. This is optional step is optional but I think its good to follow to confirm everything is working.įollow instructions on the Creality website to downloading their own version of the marlin firmware (which is 1.1.6) and installing it using the progisp software also provided on their site. There ia a link below to one later onġ) Follow the instructions as explained on creality website to install the BLTouch kit My limited understanding is that it's best to stick with this version of marlin rather than 2.0.x due to the 128kb limited board memory. Official Creality BLTouch 3.1 Kit which Includes a burner programmer called USBISPĪrduino Software from the Arduino website - DOWNLOAD VERSION 1.8.12 (this verson creates a boot loader while the latest does not) Goes without saying, I am by no way responsible for anything that happens to your printer!Įnder 3 or 3 Pro Printer with original board or Creality 1.1.5 silent board. Watch one of his BLTouch Installation videos for this. Something I learnt from watching Teaching Tech youtube videos was to make sure you 1st test your BLTouch homing position from a safe height to make sure it works and does not damage any of your printer parts by crashing the nozzel and BLTouch pin to the printer bed. These are the steps I followed to installing BLTouch 3 on my Ender 3 pro for both the stock mainboard and the 1.1.5 Silent Board. The Creality Silent 1.1.5 board already comes with boot loader so no need to follow these steps unless you (like me) somehow managed to mess it up hence in need of a complete re-flash. Make sure you use the Fuse Settings in the creality instructions for the progisp app. This also installs a boot loader so no need to go hunting for a boot loader. So after spending days using different videos and sites, I thought to put this together for someone new like me to 3d printers who want to install and configure the Creality BLTouch 3 Kit with their Ender 3/3Pro printer using the Included USBISP burner.
